A day city sightseen trip includes the top attractions of Ulaanbaatar. In the morning starting from Gandan Tegchlen Monastery, to spin prayer wheels and see chanting ceremony of local monks. We’ll drive to Sukhbaatar Square to see Mongolian Parliament House and a big statue of the national pride Chinggis Khaan and statue of the revolutionary hero Sukhbaatar. Then you’ll visit Mongolia National Museum for to know and learn more about our rich history back from Stone Age, 13th century Mongol Empire to modern Mongolia. While you climbing up to the Zaisan Hill, you can see two different aspects of living: high rise buildings show modern life and Ger Districts shows a glimpse of the traditional nomad lifestyle.
Today we’ll explore Ulaanbaatar, capital of Mongolia. Start our exploration from “Gandan Tegchlen” monastery which is the biggest site of Mongolian Buddhism. We can see chanting ceremony of monks in the morning. Most of the Mongolians follow Yellow Hat sect of Lamaism with the Dalai Lama is the supreme leader. The next stop is The National Museum of Mongolia, see exhibits of the museum show the history and culture of Mongols from ages as early as the Stone Age and up to the modern day. Have lunch at restaurant. Ulaanbaatar with a stroll Sukhbaatar square, statue of Chinggis Khaan-founder of Great Mongolian Empire and Sukhbaatar square-hero of Mongolian revolution. Drive to “Zaisan” Hill where we see panoramic view of Ulaanbaatar city. In the evening we’ll enjoy folk performance of “Tumen Ekh” ensemble, with traditional throat singer and traditional instrument of horse head fiddle.
