Today we’ll drive to Statue of Chinggis Khaan which is the biggest horse statue in the world. We will visit small museum. Keep drive to Terelj National Park. Terelj about 80km north-east of Ulaanbaatar, is a deservedly popular destination. At 1600m, the area is cool and the alpine scenery is magnificent and green meadows carpeted with Edelweiss and a dazzling variety of other wild flowers attract nature lovers in summer. The Park has many rock formations for rock climbers, and includes two famous formations named for things they resemble: Turtle Rock (Mongolian: Melkhii Khad) and the Old Man Reading a Book (Praying Lama Rock). Today we will drive to Khustai National Park. Khustai was established in 2003. Unique wild horse – Takhi reintroduction project at Khustai National Park started in 1992. To visit a small museum of the national park and to watch a short documentary film about national park and wild horse. In the evening we will drive to the national park’s core zone to see wild horses. Stay in local family or ger camp
After breakfast discover the natural beauty of the Hustai National Park. Hike to the top of mountain gives you will have chance to see wild animals and plants. Keep your eyes peeled for a variety of animals including red deer, white tailed gazella, wolves, steppe eagle and black vultures. After lunch we will drive to Ungut monument where can see deer stones and burial sites. Then drive back to Ulaanbaatar.
